Bike Ride Atakapa-Ishak Trail

I went for a bike ride this morning and decided to ride Phase I of the Atakapas-Ishak Trail.  Here is a record of the ride.
From CycloMeter App
The trail starts out at Downtown Lafayette, LA where you can visit the 9/11 memorial.

As you head down the trail, you will notice that it is well marked with street signs and road signs.

On University Avenue, you will cross the Vermilion River. From the bridge, you can see the Beaver Park Boat Landing.

The trail leads along the Vermilion River under the bridge serving Highway 90 near the Lafayette Regional Airport.

After you cross under the highway, you will see the Bayou Vermilion District where you are cautioned not to feed the alligators.

Next, you will see Vermilionville.  There is a $10 fee to visit the grounds.

Nearby, you come to The Acadian Cultural Center.  This is the end of Phase I of the Atakapas-Ishak trail.
