Early Start

I am up early this morning.  I am on my second cup of coffee.  In order to make my coffee, I use an Aeropress.  I will typically make a double-shot espresso that I add hot water to and therein emulsify a tablespoon of coconut oil.

I am also cooking a couple of pounds of pinto beans that my Uncle Harold gave me.  I fast-soaked them and will not cook them with a couple of chopped onions.  After that, I will mash them up, cooking them some more with some saved smoked bacon fat and minced garlic.
