How to Catch and Clean Carp

I live a good stones throw from the bayou Teche, if you have a really good arm and can find a stone.  Rock gardens are imports here in South Louisiana.  I have grown up fishing on the bayou and have almost always caught catfish.  There are many other types of fish to be found in the bayou as I could see from the annual fish kills when the sugar mills would open.  Those kills do not happen any more as the mills have cleaned up their act and been reduced in number.

When I was a teenager, I would sometimes eat at a friends house where his mom served fish court bouillon.   There would often be a carp in the pot.  It had been scaled and cleaned with the head still attached.  Although it was always great tasting food, the fish would have many small bones to pick out so I never really even considered catching them.

Today, I decided to do some research on catching and cleaning carp.  I was surprised at how different the hook and bait rigs were from what I was used to.  I believe that I can rig something up myself and will give it a try in the bayou.  However, I think all I catch will be catfish.

After reading a few articles and such, I decided to watch a video on the matter and found this gem.  I hope you enjoy is as much as I did.  I was hooked after the 3:50 mark when Nathan ate something he should not have.

James Webb Space Telescope

"Lengthened to the size of a tennis court, the five-layer sunshield of NASA's fully assembled James Webb Space Telescope successfully completed a final series of large-scale deployment and tensioning tests. This milestone puts the observatory one step closer to its launch in 2021."

American and Canadian and Tyranny

"His parents, Morris and Mary Weinrib, were among those sent to Dachau after surviving Nazi anti-Jewish policies in their native Poland. They were later transferred to Bergen-Belsen and then Auschwitz, where, around the age of 13, they endured constant the constant threat of the gas chambers."

Here, you can listen to the lead singer of Rush, Geddy Lee in an interview regarding his parents and the Holocaust.

The American Republic is not 18th Century France, we favor rifles and then nooses for those who would be tyrants.

The end of tyrants begins like this:

Reclaim America's Destiny

 We will not bend

We will not break

We will not yield

We will never give in

We will never give up

And we will never back down

We will never ever surrender

A Stolen Election Has Consequences

I find myself in full agreement with Mr. Adams in that if you throw out witnesses by force then the vote count is a sham and therefore invalid.

The Great Kung Flu Hoax

In general the Kung Flu poses no more threat than any other seasonal infection such as certain types of flu.  Is the Kung Flu a  sometimes deadly infection?  Yes it is for a very small percentage of the population.

Yesterday my sister and I were talking about a number deaths being mis-attributed to the Kung Flu.

Here are excerpts from recent findings that were published on Sunday, November 22, 2020 by John Hopkins:

"All of this points to no evidence that COVID-19 created any excess deaths. Total death numbers are not above normal death numbers. We found no evidence to the contrary."

"The CDC classified all deaths that are related to COVID-19 simply as COVID-19 deaths. Even patients dying from other underlying diseases but are infected with COVID-19 count as COVID-19 deaths. This is likely the main explanation as to why COVID-19 deaths drastically increased while deaths by all other diseases experienced a significant decrease."

"When Briand looked at the 2020 data during that seasonal period, COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was highly unusual since heart disease has always prevailed as the leading cause of deaths. However, when taking a closer look at the death numbers, she noted something strange. As Briand compared the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018, she noticed that instead of the expected drastic increase across all causes, there was a significant decrease in deaths due to heart disease. Even more surprising, as seen in the graph below, this sudden decline in deaths is observed for all other causes.

Graph depicts the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018.

This trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years. Interestingly, as depicted in the table below, the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19. This suggests, according to Briand, that the COVID-19 death toll is misleading. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia may instead be recategorized as being due to COVID-19.

Graph depicts the total decrease in deaths by various causes, including COVID-19.

The CDC classified all deaths that are related to COVID-19 simply as COVID-19 deaths. Even patients dying from other underlying diseases but are infected with COVID-19 count as COVID-19 deaths. This is likely the main explanation as to why COVID-19 deaths drastically increased while deaths by all other diseases experienced a significant decrease.

"All of this points to no evidence that COVID-19 created any excess deaths. Total death numbers are not above normal death numbers. We found no evidence to the contrary," Briand concluded."

A Free People Do Not Lockdown

Noting that he was also an expert in virology, renowned pathologist Dr. Roger Hodkinson pointed out that his role as CEO of a biotech company that manufactures COVID tests means, “I might know a little bit about all this.”

“There is utterly unfounded public hysteria driven by the media and politicians, it’s outrageous, this is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public,” said Hodkinson.

Hodkinson remarked that “social distancing is useless because COVID is spread by aerosols which travel 30 meters or so before landing,” as he called for society to be re-opened immediately to prevent the debilitating damage being caused by lockdowns.

Hodkinson also slammed mandatory mask mandates as completely pointless.

“Masks are utterly useless. There is no evidence base for their effectiveness whatsoever,” he said.

“Paper masks and fabric masks are simply virtue signalling. They’re not even worn effectively most of the time. It’s utterly ridiculous. Seeing these unfortunate, uneducated people – I’m not saying that in a pejorative sense – seeing these people walking around like lemmings obeying without any knowledge base to put the mask on their face.”

The doctor also slammed the unreliability of PCR tests, noting that “positive test results do not, underlined in neon, mean a clinical infection,” and that all testing should stop because the false numbers are “driving public hysteria.”

Deadly Serious

I am afraid that I must agree with man in the following video.

I ran across this at:

Protecting Democracy

"What's behind all the hollow slogans about "protecting democracy"?

The obvious answer is two admissions.

1. President Trump has a case. Enough of one for Democrats, and their media and legal allies to be worried.

2. The Democrats have something to hide."

About those Mail In Votes

In light of the following facts, would someone please explain how all those ballots for Biden somehow, against all reason, showed up?

"According to NBC News on election day before the polls opened, In Michigan, Republicans led 41% to 39% in Mail-in Ballots requested. Republicans also led 42% to 39% with Mail-in and in-person ballots returned.

In Wisconsin on election day before the polls opened, Republicans led Mail-in Ballots requested 43% to 35%, and Mail-in and early in-person ballots returned 43% to 35%. Almost ALL of the ballots found, while most in the country were sleeping, after they officials stated they would stop counting, were for Joe Biden."'

Red Flags

From the Monster Hunter Himself

"I’ve been trying to keep up with the firehose of information about what’s going on during this clusterfuck of an election. Last night I was on Facebook talking about the crazy high, 3rd world dictatorship level voter turnout levels in the deep blue areas of these swing states was very suspicious. Somebody gas lighted me about how “I’d have to do better than that”, so this was my quick reply, listing off the questionable bullshit I could think of off the top of my head:

The massive turn out alone is a red flag.

But as for doing better…

The late night spikes that were enough to close all the Trump leads are a red flag.

The statistically impossible breakdown of the ratios of these vote dumps is a red flag.

The ratios of these dumps being far better than the percentages in the bluest of blue cities, even though the historical data does not match, red flag.

The ratios of these vote dumps favoring Biden more in these few battlegrounds than the ratio for the rest of the country (even the bluest of the blue) red flag.

Biden outperforming Obama among these few urban vote dumps, even though Trump picked up points in every demographic group in the rest of the country, red flag.

The poll observers being removed. Red flag.

The counters cheering as GOP observers are removed, red flag.

The fact that the dem observers outnumber the GOP observers 3 to 1, red flag (and basis of the first lawsuit filed)

The electioneering at the polls (on video), red flag.

The willful violation of the court order requiring the separation of ballots by type, red flag.

USPS whistleblower reporting to the Inspector General that today they were ordered to backdate ballots to yesterday, red flag.

The video of 2 AM deliveries of what appear to be boxes of ballots with no chain of custody or other observers right before the late night miracle spikes, red flag.

Any of those things would be enough to trigger an audit in the normal world. This many flags and I’d be giggling in anticipation of catching some thieves.

And it isn’t that I have to do better. I’m just an gen pop observer who happens to be a retired auditor with a finely tuned bullshit detector. This is going to the courts."

While I Watch the Debate with Slow Joe

I had to take off my reading glasses in order to avoid reading the vomit-inducing "Context" provided by the USAToday feed I so poorly chose.

Not Enough Dead

"We made the mistake of trusting in the government's predictions that there would a sharp increase in deaths among elder citizens because of Corona," is how one Politiken wag imagined one funeral director's reaction. "And now the latest data now show that on the contrary, there have been fewer deaths under the pandemic." The Graulev undertaker was said to add that "it is a [government] failure without equal."

https://no-pasaran.blogspot.com/2020/10/in-year-of-covid-19-denmark-has-lowest.html

This seems about right, it could have been better had governments not decided to experiment with open tyranny.

Kung Flu and EXTRAORDINARY POPULAR DELUSIONS

Many years ago I read a book authored by Charles Mackay titled, "EXTRAORDINARY POPULAR DELUSIONS AND THE Madness of Crowds." He wrote that, "Every age has its peculiar folly; some scheme, project, or phantasy into which it plunges, spurred on either by the love of gain, the necessity of excitement, or the mere force of imitation. Failing in these, it has some madness, to which it is goaded by political or religious causes, or both combined."

The madness related to the Kung Flu also known as SARS-CoV-2, is a case in point. Michael Walsh wrote, "In previous pandemics, the bug was allowed to burn its way through the body politic, its toll just part of the cost of being human. So what’s different about this seasonal malady?

For one thing, it’s occurring in an election year, at the start of which the American economy was firing on all cylinders in a way it hasn’t in decades. When President Trump’s political enemies realized the Covid shutdown could be wielded as a wrecker’s ball against the American and global economies, they jumped at the chance.

For another, a society that has moved from “pay any price, bear any burden” to “if it saves just one life” is no longer capable of facing or dealing with reality. With atheism ascendant, the extension of life (except for that of the unborn, of course) has become the cardinal social virtue."

In many of the American states we went from let us all stay home for a couple of weeks in order to avoid inundating the hospitals to many months of arbitrary tyranny from bureaucrats and governors suborning the very Constitutions granting them authority.

On another note, if you like to read books you can find a great number freely available for download at Project Gutenberg. Therein you may find Mackay and many others where you can, "Choose among free epub and Kindle eBooks, download them or read them online. You will find the world’s great literature here, with focus on older works for which U.S. copyright has expired. Thousands of volunteers digitized and diligently proofread the eBooks, for you to enjoy."

Composed 219 Years Ago

You know, right around the time of that ancient American Constitution We The People hold government in bondage to was written.

Painting a Zebra

You can paint a zebra to look like a horse but you cannot change its stripes or tendency to gnaw your leg off.  I am reminded of this in watching folk saying the Democrat party left them, they did not leave it.

Many years ago, I would drive to New Orleans every now and again in order to bring my sister home to New Iberia and back again.  This was in the late 1990s when she was gathering her masters degree in arts management at the University of New Orleans.  Before then and during her time there she was being enculturated and donning the trappings of Marxist dogma, but she was still a coonass at heart.

On one occasion I drove my 240SX(pictured below but that's another story) to bring her home on the weekend of The Bayou Classic.  Did I say that we were coonasses?  Well, mamma was from Ville Platte and daddy was from Opelousas, so there.  Anyhow, my sister lived on Dauphine street almost directly across from Matassa's Grocery store, and Bourbon is the next street over.

In case you did not click on the hyperlink, or even if you did it's not honest, The Bayou Classic is a football game between  rival historically black colleges.  So the French Quarter, which encompasses Dauphine and Bourbon streets were packed to the gills with black people, not BLM pasties but real honest to god huge black men who comprised the teams, and their fans.

Mind you my sister and I both grew up from children during and after integration in the early 1970's.  Growing up then and later in life black people were just people, individuals.  In the case of other folk, that is certainly not how they always saw things.

As I rolled though the crowd on Bourbon street, several men did not move out of the way quickly enough to suit my sister.  Mind you the slow movers were large enough to lift my car and walk away with it.  My sister gets pissed off and rolls down her window, yelling at them to move it.  Next thing I know, she's opening my glove box and has her hand on my brand new Colt All American DAO.

I reached over and grabbed her by the elbow and tell her that we don't have enough ammo. Thank goodness she calmed down and shut the box as we peacefully rolled on through(Ed: Spelling corrected).

I Loves Me Some Pretty Reckless

President Trump vs Slow Joe and the Democrats

How the debate will be painted, so to speak.

Bugs

I noticed that I mostly crash now when I am trying new stuff or showing off.  The neighbors' yard man watched me walk away with the drone following me at around 3 ft above ground.  I was flying by camera and still ain't got that down yet.  He hollers, "It's gonna crash!" and of course it hit bare lantana branches that I could not see on the fenceline.

So I picked up the drone and there was a prop missing.  I started to look and brush to find it when these fellows(see below) got my attention by buzzing my face.  At least they did not go to war with me and so encouraged, I kept looking with my face a foot away from the nest.

The yard guy came over to see why I was taking so long and I pointed them out just as he inadvertently  kicked a yellow jacket nest seven feet away on the same fence line.  They all went to war with him as he retreated so I kept looking for my prop as they did not seem to mind me.

After a moment he came back and I still have yet to find my prop.  He told me I was going to get hit by the wasps but I told him that we had come to an understanding that he was the bad guy, not I. Neither of them had dibs on the smarts department.

Anyhow, he does not believe me and comes over to look whereupon the wasps get irate at him, you know the big quick moving object, and give chase.  I looked for a bit longer while he retired to get the requisite firepower to combat the insects on his fence line.
