New Aircraft Carrier Carrier

The first Ford-class super aircraft carrier should be delivered to the United States this year.

I think that we should continue to produce and maintain aircraft carriers.  Short of a major war, there is nothing like them for projecting power across the globe.

11 Herbs

Last year, for my birthday, Debra Foss gave me a packet with twelve different kinds of herbs to grow from seed.  I started them off but the seedlings died when I was out of town for too long and could not water them.

This year, I made certain to have my schedule straight and managed to prepare a garden for them and set all of the seedlings into the ground last Sunday. There have been some powerful storms over the last week, and this weekend, it seemed like they might be beaten into the dirt.

I am pleased to report that they all survived admirably.  There are only eleven as one kind did not sprout.

Here is what they look like at this time.

Ransom-ware

I have seen a few instances of ransom-ware locally.  The more systems that you tie together, with more people using them, the more likely you are to fall to an attack.  Some of the attacks on corporate systems are much more sophisticated than most will see.  However, it does not take much time to ruin your day if your system is exploited.
