I decided make scratch-biscuits. However, instead of butter, I used coconut oil. Other than that, I used a basic biscuit recipe.
They tasted fine but turned out a little denser and more crumbly than normal(Note to self, halve the amount of salt).
I believe that they were more crumbly because I used a one-to-one substitution of oil for butter. I will try it again one day but I will use about 20% less oil.
